UNC Asheville Men's and Women's Soccer Hold Alumni Games

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - It may have been a little rainy, but it definitely did not make a difference.
In fact, it was easy to see that all of the UNC Asheville men's and women's soccer alumni in attendance were having a blast as part of the annual Alumni Games on Sunday, April 14, at Greenwood Field to close out the spring campaigns for the Bulldogs.
"It's special to have our alumni come back," UNC Asheville men's soccer head coach Mathes Mennell said. "I think that our alumni do an awesome job, and certainly recently through the Bulldog Challenge they showed that they also support us financially, but they are also always around asking how they can help. I think the most valuable resource is time and this group continually supports us whether it's on the road or here at Greenwood Field. They are always giving of their time and they make time to be a part of our program. It's a true testament to what a special place UNC Asheville is, and i could not be more proud of these young men and people that UNC Asheville men's soccer is producing."
New UNC Asheville women's soccer head coach Clifton Bush was unable to be there, but the current Bulldogs made sure that the alumni knew just how much they are going to love Bush if they had not yet had the chance to meet him.
"Coach was sorry he could not be here today," UNC Asheville women's soccer rising junior Bryson Lee said. "You are going to love him. This is something he really values as well. He wants you all to be a part of our program."
