ASHEVILLE, N.C. - South Carolina State defeated UNC Asheville in both men's and women's tennis action at the UNCA Tennis Center Monday afternoon.
The South Carolina State men won, 6-1, while the women downed Asheville, 7-0.
On the men's side, Tyler Begg was the long Bulldog to earn a victory as he won, 6-4, 2-0, ret.
Both teams will be in action next at the Big South Conference Tournament in Birmingham, Ala. The UNC Asheville men's squad will take on Winthrop on Thursday afternoon, while the women will also battle Winthrop Thursday morning.
