UNC Asheville Men’s Tennis Looks to Continue Strong Start to Fall This Weekend

Princeton Ivy Plus Invitational Draw
PRINCETON, N.J. – The UNC Asheville men's tennis team will be featured in two events this upcoming weekend with the Bulldogs competing in the Princeton Ivy Plus Invitational and the Elon Fall Invitational.
After his win at the prestigious Southern Intercollegiate Championships, Henry Patten looks to continue his impressive start to the 2017-18 athletic year at the Princeton Ivy Plus Invitational.
Patten will open the event by taking on Virginia Tech's Jason Kros at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22.
At the Elon Fall Invitational, Bulldog newcomer Oli Nolan also hopes to improve upon his tremendous start to the year in the Maroon singles portion of the event. Nolan will first take on Furman's Cameron Green at 1 p.m. on Friday.
In the Gold singles draw at the Elon Fall Invitational, UNC Asheville's Olly Cull will open his efforts by battling Camilo Ponce of host Elon at 11 a.m. on Friday.
A finalist at the USC Upstate Invitational, UNC Asheville's Andrew Sinai opens his time in the Phoenix singles draw against Nico Grewe at 9:30 a.m. on Friday.
In the Powell singles draw, UNC Asheville's Finlay Ray McFayden will take on Winthrop's Rhys Jones at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' Edward Colclough will take on Josh Ryan of Winthrop at 9:30 a.m. as well.
In the White singles draw, UNC Asheville's Reese Daly will have a bye into the next round where he will battle Pablo Juez Torres of North Carolina Central at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23.
In the Gold doubles portion of the event, UNC Asheville's Nolan and Cull will battle Palmer and Burkill of UNCG.
The Bulldog duo of Sinai and McFadyen will face off against Anghel and Georgi of East Carolina in the Phoenix doubles draw.
In the Powell doubles draw, UNC Asheville's Daly and Coclough will battle Pelletier and Rabideau of Clemson at 3 p.m. on Friday.
