Women’s Golf Concludes Inaugural Appearance at Big South Conference Championship

Big South Conference Championship
Field: High Point, Presbyterian, Radford, UNC Asheville, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Winthrop, Longwood and Gardner-Webb.
Location: The Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbor, Ninety Six, S.C.
Dates: April 17-19.
Ninety Six, S.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team completed their final round of play at the Big South Conference Championship at The Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbor. The Bulldogs shot a 926 (313-304-309) for the three-day competition and finished in seventh place (+62) in their inaugural appearance.
Asheville's Rebecca Black (78-75-72) led the way for the Bulldogs. Black birdied her final hole of competition during her third round to finish at nine-over.

CAREER BEST: Rebecca Black shot her lowest round as a Bulldog with a 72.
TOP 20: Black finished the tournament tied for 20th, recording her second top-20 honor of the season.
BEST THREE-ROUND SCORE: The Bulldogs shot their best team score of the inaugural season by shooting a 926. They improved their previous best of 948 at the Kiawah Island Invitational by 22 strokes.
CHAMPIONS: Campbell University won the Big South Conference Championship for the sixth time in school history. The Camels shot (-15) as a team. Celia Mansour (71-66-70) of Presbyterian College took home individual medalist honors.
